This is a good early season hike because there is almost never any snow. It does mean you have to deal with lots of people though. It’s just south of Bellingham so I think it gets a lot of WWU student traffic.
The views are good up top.
Southwest towards the refinery in Anacortes
Northwest towards the Strait of Juan de Fuca
On the way back we took a side trip to Lily Lake. It’s less than a mile of flat trail and few people go that way. We did find some snow that way and a partially frozen lake

The lake had a bunch of frogs singing as we arrived but after a few minutes they stopped. I recorded them. You might have to turn up your volume to hear them.

On the way back we encountered a traffic jam along I-5 so rather than sit in the car waiting, we pulled off and went to Cama Beach State Park on Camano Island and sat on the beach instead.
